POWDER COATING

Great cleaning and bold renovation plans are an indispensable signal that winter has already said goodbye to us and spring comes to the fore with its favorable aura. Nice weather encourages us to carry out previously planned renovation work – whether at home, on the allotment or in the garden. When deciding to change the colour of the railing, renew the rims in the car or the beloved bench it is worth considering abandoning the standard brush and can of paint and opt for professional powder coating.

GOOD PREPARATION IS THE BASIS

When choosing to paint any detail, you should not forget to properly prepare it for painting. Before proper treatment, the surface should be degreased, sanded and dusted. Depending on the material you want to paint, it may also be necessary to paint with anti-corrosive agents or to protect it with an appropriate primer.

FIRST DO NOT HARM

Nowadays, we look at the labels on paint and varnish cans with increasing focus. In addition to the right colour and type, we attach great importance to care for the environment. By choosing powder coating, we practically eliminate the use of all thinners and solvents that negatively affect the natural environment. What is powder coating? This process involves spraying electrified powder paint particles onto a previously cleaned and protected surface. As a result, the varnish is evenly distributed over the entire surface of the painted object, which guarantees us a smooth coating without any streaks or rimples. Anyone who has had the opportunity to paint with traditional methods knows that the removal of such defects is problematic.

FAST, PROFESSIONAL AND WARM

The next stage is heating the varnished element to a temperature from 150°C to 200°C. This causes the previously applied coating to melt and cure. This process guarantees the durability of the combination of varnish and metal. After less than half an hour, the varnished detail can be removed and allowed to cool. Thanks to the use of appropriate filtration systems, dusting is reduced during painting. This definitely makes powder coating more ecological than traditional methods. Elements painted in this way are characterised by a high resistance to chemical agents. The desired effect is obtained much faster than traditional varnish.
